Before, Before Pics

Well, here are pictures of our house and what we're dealing with. ☺

Starting out with this small room off of the master bedroom

Our plan for this room is to bring in the side a foot and half of it will be turned into a small (tiny) bathroom for the master bedroom and the other half will be a closet for a room we're adding in.

Master bedroom

The plan in this bedroom is to move the wall to where this closet is and make the room a little bit smaller so we can have more space for our kitchen.

We're planning on leaving the living room area where it is, but we'll be moving the door over to wall where the window is.

The kitchen will be moved to this area.

We'll be taking out this closet, chimney and furnace.

Our plan is that this corner will be where we'll be putting the second bathroom

view towards the only existing bathroom from the kitchen.

The plan for this area is adding a room to where the current bathroom is, and the laundry area will be here.

We'll be leaving this room alone as far as leaving it the size it is...obviously we'll paint and get new carpet etc...

We have our work cut out for us! ☺We have cleared out most of the stuff and I'll post pictures of that soon.

Wedding Cake

Here is a cake that my friend Crystal and I made this past weekend. She did the baking part since I was 3.5 hours away and I made the fondant and we put it all together. (and my brother Kenneth was our fondant roller) ☺ I had never worked with fondant before so it was a good learning experience.

Snowflakes

It snowed here today, (yes, around the end of May) and so I went out to attempt to photograph some snowflakes. Not so easy of a thing to do... I would have stayed out longer but my kids were yelling at me from the door and I was getting really wet. ☺

Just having some fun shooting a dandelion outside my door.

This is my African Violet.

Color - Blue

Thinking WAY ahead here...since we have yet to even get started with the work needing to be done on our house.

Do you have a favorite color that you gravitate towards.

Mine is BLUE.

I like to wear blue, decorate in blue, etc...

So in thinking ahead about decorating, I realized that I could pretty much be happy decorating every room in some hue of blue.

Examples:

I love this laundry room/ entry way

A blue girls room/ play room with pink accents.

A blue bathroom (I already have that shower curtain) ☺

Love the blue in this bedroom

Love this baby's room, even though it is blue and green.

I especially like the light blue, brown, cream, white combo.

I saw this picture and really liked the color on the wall and it's not blue!

So do you have a color that you gravitate towards and what color is it?

Pillows or Wall Art?

Wrinkles and all that aside... should I make these into pillows or wall art?

Cook's Helpers

I forgot about this template I had wanted to print off from Martha Stewart's website.

A good way to use up those magnets that you get in the mail all the time. Martha laminates hers, but I'm not cool enough to have one of those. I just used double sided tape to stick the magnet on the back.

 I just taped these ones to the inside of my cupboard door since I know I won't be using them as much.
